Ngalla Maya
King Bins, in partnership with Ngalla Maya Aboriginal Corporation, provides training and employment opportunities to Indigenous men and women. Indigenous rights is a passion of King Bins Director, Aaron Baker, who also serves as Business Development Manager for Ngalla Maya on a pro-bono basis. King Bins is one of the first waste management companies to offer the Certificate III in Waste Management as a traineeship. It is currently also pushing with private training organisations to get the Certificate IV and Diploma on scope. By providing nationally recognised qualifications to employees, there are a great number of benefits including increased staff retention, job satisfaction, greater understanding of the environment and increased workplace safety through greater understanding of OHS procedures.
Indigenous Involvement
King Bins Waste Management has a future vision of active involvement with Indigenous elders in the waste management process – after all, they are the custodians of the land.
